Well, I'm sure some people have heard about loopt... its a cool myspace/networking/twitter application that uses a map and shows your friends where you are (only when you want it to). Now, there is an option called "Mix". Using mix you can use a filter to search for people in your area. You can tell it to find men looking to date men. Therefore, finding other mo's in your area! Check it out!

I just don't like this stuff where you can track where other people are. Very creepy.

It's bad enough I'm reachable 24/7 through calls, texts, or emails on my phone...I don't need people knowing where I am.

Yikes. It's finally arrived? I just may have known the genius creator of that application.

Well, I'll be...

like i said, you only post where you are when YOU want to, not a constant dot thats moving...

too bad there arent many people using this, but as the word spreads this could be a really cool app. just think, youre somewhere where you think someone is cute, check loopt, and imagine that, hes GAY! you then get the courage to ask him out. haha.

Yeah, I've forseen this: You signal for a meet and the target turns out to be the troll sitting just behind Adonis.

Almost every day, I find some new, insanely great, and almost free thing that the iPhone can do. Today, I downloaded a dozen great books (from a menu of thousands) to read any time, any place.

The reader app is called "Stanza." It's free and there are thousands of public domain books to download for free. Also reads other formats.

I've been able to download books for years to my PDA. And frankly I never enjoyed them because it's too hard on my eyes, and really more clumsy than an actual book. I don't even read books on my desktop computer.

But if I'm killing time somewhere, at the airport or waiting for an appointment, I'll play solitaire on my PDA, or surf the web a bit if there's WiFi around.

I would keep it on and the door open myself, who knows what interesting people you would meet?

Japan has something I've heard thats even cooler than that. They have technology on their phones that you can type in your stats about yourself and basically make a personal on your phone. You then put in what you are looking for in a person and save it.

Your phone then scans everyone you walk by during your day, and if someones profile seems to match with yours and visa versa, the phones begin to go off simutaneously until both parties turn off the alarms.

Talk about fate, right??

The uber tech geek in me says that this is super cool.

The conspiracy theorist in me says "Holy #$*&#! What a bad idea. You mean there's an application on phones that people are turning on that would make it even easier for me to be tracked, by anyone?"

The cynic in me says that this technology has existed for years and years now, so there's no real danger in using it.

The monogamist in me says that I better not enable it on my i-phone, so that I stay married
