Why has god not destroy another 2 cities since then? Homosexuality has been around years after the story was written.

I always love when they bring up the Sodom and Gomorrah bit in bashing gay rights etc. If you were a true Christian and actually read the bible, it gives a lovely description on Why SnG were destroyed in both the books of Isiah and Ezekiel (can't remember the actual verses). Basically, the people of SnG did not take good care of their widows (esp. that they were fighting in many wars at the time) and were rather dicks to guests/strangers. There is a spiel about sexual perversion, but if you take the whole chapter into account, it is dealing with the idea of rape/forced sex and prostitution as sexually perverted, no mention of bum sex...

Also, I think someone should alert the Pope (well... the to-be-new one...) that there is someone else who is claiming to be a direct link to God apart from him.....

Is there any viable way that you could possibly educate the Pope and the rest of the Roman Catholic bureaucracy about this biblical truthicon_question.gif

hahahah! The remember that the Pope is basically selected on a popularity vote icon_razz.gif (and before anyways thinks I'm trolling, my family is catholic..). Basicalluy they will say anything that will make them more popular within the clergy and/or population...

I think more people (regardless of faith) should actually study and read their own religious books and make their own assumptions from there... rather than taking one person's personal viewpoint on the matter

You're kidding right?! I'm sure that explanation will have the biblical scholars, theologians, and cardinals quaking in their velvet slippers and questioning their whole belief system! icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

That is precisely what we need, questioning and healthy debate on these issues.
