I think the man in this video is a souce of encouragement and motivation of being proud of who you are. He did remind me of Michael Duncan a little. lol Anyways I hope you enjoy his video as much as I did.

I hope the world doesn't turn me into the bitter, black, 42 y.o. gay guy that this guy sounds like.

Edit: On the other hand. I DO hope to be as muscular as him by 42. icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif

    OUCH!

Thought he had a few decent points once I was able to ignore the constant rambling about allllll the men that fall allllll over him alllllllll the time. But to come out in 4th grade is not a typical circumstance. I know guys that are in far more complicated situations than his experience. So what worked for him may not work for every guy. But I think he meant well.

With that said, naked pics of him all over the Phat Brothas Tumblr if you're interested. Just hit the archive. icon_biggrin.gif

why is this fool talking about Michael Jackson wanting to be white, when he really didn't have a choice in the matter?

It's almost as tasteless as ripping on someone for being born disabled or handicapped.

It's called Vitiligo fool and it affects numerous members of the African American community.

You're right to a degree. But I checked out his Youtube channel and most of his videos are about negative things that he encounters in the Black Gay Community like HIV, promiscuous "fags", feminine black men.

He doesn't have much positive things to say about being gay. He doesn't even make being gay sound like a desirable experience and I'm gay too. I though I was bitter, but I make him look like Rodney Dangerfield next to me.

While watching his videos it just came to mind how bitter he is and how I hope my life experiences don't cause me to develop such a hard, bitter shell. That's all.

Yeah MJ's condition was so serious that it soon spread to his nose, chin and hair. He was "forced" to change his nose and chin and bleach the whole body I hear. Yup it also makes the hair loose and straight too. Then it soon spreads to ones ability to spawn children. OK I can't keep a straight face anymore. LOL. Sorry for the sarcasm.

As much as I love MJ and hate to talk about the dead, Walter's is right on point in his example of embracing who and what you are, and using MJ as a reference point. Tasteless, well maybe a little since MJ is so iconic.

You can blame the media for that, the public views these singers and entertainers as larger than life and they want to keep them young.

Everyone in Hollywood has had work done, the difference is Michael had a disease that that only compounded the scrutiny and pressure he must've felt.

He doesn't look white, his jawline, his eyes, his lips etc

Latoya Janet and Michael look alike. There's nothing wrong with what Michael did - it's sad that he felt the need to want to change I think most of his body-image issues resulted from the torment his father put him through and the pressure to look forever young in the publics eyes.

Never once did Michael ever say that he wasn't proud of his heritage.

Yes I think being gay in general can become a bitter thing in later life because of the restraints we have on us as gay people in society. Every race faces challenges. But yes the LTR minded, non-cookie cutter model/hot attractive ones face the most discriminative challenges. But ultimately one has to make their life meaningful by making wise choices and choosing good friends. I am sure Walter has many draw backs like any man, but his video on being proud of one self I thought was encouraging/per his situation. That is sad to hear he his pessimistic like you described. We can’t always blame a person for developing a certain way and not factor in their environment that affects them. Anyways like you, I also hope I am not a bitter 40s man in the future. icon_wink.gif

Why doesnt that apply to people that sit out in the sun to tan?
Should they be ashamed of themselves for wanting to be something other than what they are?

    This guy sounds like a self-righteous a-hole

This. I do think there can now be a competition between this long winded boring mess and the fake accent guy who constantly posts meaningless tripe.

Well that was a colorful explanation. icon_lol.gif

I get what she means, but I think there would still be a need for all the pride variations even if mainstream events were more diverse. Even if they tried to lump them all together, the promoters would still have to advertise and cater to whoever the expected majority is so they can make money. The smaller demographics won't get the experience they want. Different audiences just have different needs, and that would exist even without a racial divide.
