How should I (you) feel when a complete online stranger asks if you wanna txt.

Hint: no pics, no profile... I don't get it.

If you don't get it then don't do it. I wouldn't, either, and I get those invites, too.

I only give out my phone number to people I've met in person or had extended communication with. If someone randomly asks for it l usually (politely) decline.

I've had my number for years now, it's established, and I'm not going to go through having it changed because I gave it out to the wrong person.

With the new phones you don't need to text to have a real time conversation. Most apps including grindr, scruff and FB have notifications that will pop up on your phone. And even for RJ, you can get email notification through your phone. So there really isn't a "need" to give out your number. I just had someone asking for mine on Scruff and that is what I told him.

The only times I give out my number is if I am going to meet someone or if I have had extensive conversations with someone hundreds of miles away. Sometimes you just don't want to have your profiles online for hours.

Like the other guys said, I have established my phone number and have no desire to have to change it because I gave it to the wrong person.

I've gotten random message from guys asking me to text/call them. I suspect:

    a) The younger generation have no qualms about giving out their numbers to total strangers.

    b) Scam. After you send a text, you start receiving SMS spam and telemarketing calls.

    c) It's a real number but not his. Probably trying to play an annoying prank on the real person that has that number.
