I don't remember the last time I was infatuated with a guy, it's been so long. I just wonder if its just an age thing, if maybe I've grown to be more mature and just don't give in to emotions anymore or if its really just the city I'm in?

The latter idea is there because its been 2 years since I've fallen for a guy, to the point where I couldn't do any task without thinking of him, and it's also been 2 years since I've moved to Portland.

age plays a big role, as does experience.

Age, because you generally relax more, are more willing to move with the flow of things and aren't in so much of a rush.

Experience, because the past has taught you well and you are more willing to wait before investing that sort of emotion into another person.

Plus, you could also just be in a stage of your life where a guy just isn't as important to you, perhaps your more focused on other things, which is always good.

I personally wouldn't worry about it, life ebbs and flows in what can seem to be a random pattern that will guide you into things you truly need over things you want, this could jst be one of them things and if your happy with things, I'd be even less concerned.

I agree with lilTanker. We all have some down time. Some of the greatest improvements in my life came during these lapses in having a boy. After all, you can spend more time thinking of yourself and working on making your life better. It's suprising how guys come out of the woodwork when you are confident in being solo. Don't worry.

Yeah, it is an age thing. Love is only for the young.

Don't think I've ever been in love. I've been infatuated and thought it was love but as time carried on I've always found deeper and deeper feelings that I didn't think could exist.

Ha, first time in my life I can honestly say "I am in love"

It's rather scary. But an awesome indescribable feeling.
