The irony here is that Fox's demise would actually help Republicans. Maybe without their daily dose of lunacy and conspiracy theories, the GOP could return to reality and rebuild their party in the mold of reason and rational thought, with an eye toward policies that address our nation's problems.

Of course, I won't hold my breath.

The phrase "Fox News" is an oxymoron.

    Love these quotes:

"The average age of a Fox News viewer is 66 years old ( icon_eek.gif - Good gawd, that's 2 years older than me as an average! Are they sitting in front of the TV on oxygen?) and the decline in younger viewership is the biggest long term threat to the network’s survival."

"Younger people aren’t voting Republican and they aren’t watching Fox News."

"Fox News either has to attract younger viewers, or hope that advancements in medical science push the average life expectancy to 90."
    LMAO!

Not many. I'd have to go back to the 1950s TV, when major advertisers were selling products for cleaning dentures, and denture adhesives. Although people are living longer today, I guess better dental hygiene and dentistry have thankfully eliminated much of that former need.

But Hoverounds! Hate to be prejudicial, and I'm in that age group myself, but I'd like to drive those Hoverounds off a pirate ship plank into the sea, along with their inconsiderate, arrogant, annoying riders! (So endeth the rant)

Now if the same thing would just happen to the GOP....

Yes, I know, we need a conservative voice and party - democracy thrives on loyal, intelligent opposition where a balanced decision/compromise can be reached between the opposing parties.. . But somehow this excludes women -controlling, gay-hating, pseudo-religious, plutocratic, progress-blocking parties of NO.

Good thought. And what other network names and mottos could portray the oldest age demographic in US television? Geriatric News Network (GNN)?
