ART_DECO saidBut hey, there are RJ members here who champion the US Republican Party, to give them majorities in State and Federal legislatures, that enable bigots like him to make into law the same views like this idiot has. Which include:
To defeat gay marriage, to deny Federal benefits to married gay couples, to prevent gay hate crimes from being recognized, to reinstate laws that make being gay a criminal offense, to ban gays from the military, to block immigration of gays... the list of Republican gay discrimination is endless.
Yet these RJ members say they can overlook the anti-gay hate, it's not all that important, they're more interested in other things. REALLY???
And even those other things are dubious, the Republican Party failing almost every test of true benefit for US citizens. For corporations, yes, the Republicans give their biggest campaign contributors (aka bribers) everything they want. But for ordinary citizens? Don't hold your breath. If you can't line Republican pockets, you're SOL.
Sadly, many of the gays agree with you, despite the hysteria, exaggeration and misinformation in your post.
So much to pick apart in your post, but I'll just focus in on one item you brought up: "block immigration of gays."
If you are defining the status quo as "block immigration of gays" then I direct your attention to the office of the President, where Mr. Obama - now in year #5 of his presidency - has not yet instructed USCIS / INS to allow immigrants who are in same-sex relationships to be treated as opposite-sex relationships for purposes of immigration. Furthermore, Mr Obama and his Democrat-controlled Congress in 2009-2011 did NOTHING about this either.
But go on, keep blaming Republicans - it's quite the fashionable thing to do here.
