    Reality is that the decision to marry is as much a financial decision as it is a decision of the heart. That - along with the insane flip-flopping in California - is a main reason why we didn't run to the justice of the peace a few years ago...do your financial homework before you jump the broom....in our case it was much more financially beneficial to stay partners and just throw a big party...

    That doesn't mean I don't deserve the right to make that decision.....

    This is old news, and the reason for marriage equality.

    Also, look at tax treatments from an inherited IRA from a same sex couple vs a hetero one. Not only does it go against the estate tax it is also required to be distributed in a much more aggressive schedule.

    Sorry this article is kinda misleading .Rich married gay or str8 get screwed under Obamas new tax laws. It's better to be single. Mooching on a spouses health care is the only free lunch out there.
