U.S. incomes fell the most in two decades in January, a steeper drop than economists expected as higher tax rates kicked in, according to the Commerce Department. Personal consumption expenditures edged up while the personal savings rate plunged. - WSJ

January would have been the perfect time for congress to actually pass a budget.

Let's see .... So far this year we had a near governmental shutdown
because of the most unresponsive Congress we have EVER seen in this country
and we are now in a self-inflicted "Sequestration" where everything from governmental programs on education to defense are being drastically cut because Boehner and crew refuse to close loopholes for the wealthy

....... This is yourGovernment on Republican Ideology .... Any Questions?

    Yes:

1 When is the last time the Republican controlled house passed a budget proposal?

2 When is the last time the Democratic controlled senate passed a budget proposal?

3 Did you realize the The Congressional Budget and Impoundment Control Act of 1974 requires a budget proposal from both the house and senate annually?

4 Which party is disregarding the law?

And how is all of the above "Obama's fault" again?

    Everything is Obama's fault.
I cut my self shaving this morning and I called the White House to blame Obama.
Last night when the pilot had a rough landing? I immediately called my congressman and complained about Obama.
    Cold pizza? Obama.
    See how it works?
Try it, it's fun, just remember, you have to register as a republican.

Just change the name Obama to Bush, and that's exactly all we heard for 8 years.

He's the leader of his party, and they won't even introduce a budget. They obviously don't want one. Which is why they reject anything, even when they get what was originally demanded. This is ruthless chicago politics on display.

    An "Obama" January ?!

Has Congress passed any job creation bills for the President to sign ?

    No.

And, now that sequestration is in effect, because Congress refuses to act, there will be many hundreds of thousands MORE people out of work.

I can't wait until the 2014 election, when the voters can kick the worthless Congressional Republicans out of office.

Just like when we were in the midst of the last republican clusterf**k that was called the Iraq war
It was easy to state the obvious ... even though republicans made like there was no Sh*t on the floor

The Financial Self-created crises are a republican invention
always in the past both parties had passed resolutions without any dabate or quarrel
Now..... EVEN though the republican made deficit has been cut in half and we are moving in the right direction financially republicans are CREATING crisis after crisis

WHY? Because it is the ONLY way they can retain any power
JUST like the filibuster reign in the Senate we have economic crises made in the House

That's the turd that's staring up at you from the floor right now icon_wink.gif

Congress has acted if you follow any news at all. Congress put forth 2 bills which the Senate failed to act on and our crisis president said no to. They even wanted to give our crisis president the powers to circumvent and target the decreased spending so it wouldnt hurt Americans or jobs. What did Obama do? He declined. This is just a horrible way for our crisis president to try to score political points. He has no intention to lead our country but to just inflict pain on Americans and blame everyone else but himself. Time for Mr. Oblame-a to step up but that wont happen

Nothing is ever going to change for the better in the US until we evict both the democrats and the republicans out of office. It is time for real change in this country and that does not include keeping the political duopoly that has bankrupted this great nation.
