So yeah, I know this is cheesy but let's say there is this guy I like. Many people would describe him to be a complete asshole but I am the type of person to overlook that and see the good in someone. However, no matter what I do he always ends up treating me like shit but even though I usually do nothing wrong, I always tend to feel guilty and apologize. But there are also days where he makes me really happy. He has told me he has liked me before but it's at the point where we fight all of the time with each day being an emotional roller coaster. Part of me says to just find someone that is so much better, but the other part is still focused on that great side of him. What do I do? Haha sorry for the long story :p

I'm with Smartmoney: sounds like the quickest route to a dysfunctional relationship.

If someone is showing you that he's a complete asshole you should BELIEVE him, and not hope that there's a magic unicorn in there. Yes, even some assholes have some moments of decency, but many are just wired to be jerks, either because they have a personality disorder, or they were treated badly as kids and think that it's normal to treat others badly.

Not a good idea... Everyone thinks he's an asshole..he's Mostly(?) an asshole to you??

...Say you two got together? What are the odds he'll transform into the prince you think you see in him??

...Honestly i think you are entertaining an "unrealistic idea" of this guy..

..If he likes you he should treat you accordingly..
...Maybe he has a few things he has to work out..but till then...consider taking your business elsewhere..!
