We get a lot of rattlesnakes in my neighborhood and I have never seen one any where near that big.

oh gesh....I'm so glad that we do not have these in California:

    Eastern Diamondback

"The eastern diamondback rattlesnake is the largest venomous snake in North America. Some reach 8 feet (2.4 meters) in length and weigh up to 10 pounds (4.5 kilograms)."

"They can accurately strike at up to one-third their body length."

Damn he is cute. I am thankful he got the snake and not the other way around.

Look at the moss on thetrees in the background. Diamond back rattlers do become that large where this kid is from. although the size is at the top of the range.

The largest eastern diamondbacks on record are 8 footers, so it wouldn't be a stretch to think this is a real photo. However, that would mean the kid in the photo would have to be less than 5-feet tall.

Both pictures in this thread are real, but the lengths are exaggerated. It's a forced perspective camera trick. Holding anything closer to the camera lens than other objects in the frame will produce similar results. It's a trick commonly used on RealJock with cock shots. icon_lol.gif

The actual length of that snake appears to be just over 5-feet, which would be more appropriate given the 18-21 rattles I'm counting on the snake's tail.

We had one at home that came through the dryer vent and crawled into our family room. I discovered it when I came in after riding my horse. I was startled to see a 6 foot black snake in the house.... I threw him out the front door.
