Half-Marathon Help

I'm sure I'll get a few different answers, but I need some help...

The Music City Marathon is at the end of next month in Nashville. I want to run the half, but I'm not sure if I can pull it off.

My workout right now is 3 to 4 days a week of crossfit. From what I understand (or, from what people tell me), my crossfit workouts will help me a lot, regarding preparation. So, that's cool. However, I don't run. The last time I ran semi-long distance was about three years ago, and I stopped around 6 miles. I didn't do crossfit that long ago, however. Mainly swimming and running only.

My question is for people who do this often, or occasionally; is a month and a few weeks enough time to prepare? I've seen training schedules, and they all start about 4 months before the run.

Any help would be great. Thanks.

LaidBack said, but I. I want to run the half, but I'm not sure if I can pull it off.

You can pull it off (even if you walk it ) but how do you see yourself at finish line

crawling across finish line about to pass out or
Look like you could go around again.

If it was me I would like to give 100 % and beat my pb for that distance.
When doing your wod at crossfit do you not give it 100 %
    same with running.

You got to put in the training. Start with 6 miles run and increase
from there your distances and time.At less 3 times a week.

If you can’t do the time Find the biggest hill and keep running and
and down the hill so that when you are running on flat surface it is so easy

Do you live near where the race is going from why not do the courses
and see what the condions are like

    Good luck
