Post some of your favorites, preferably with a video or two.

Burial Ground: The Nights of Terror
    Le notti del terrore
    Italy
    1980
    Director: Andrea Bianchi
    Studio: Esteban Cinematografica

All in all, this isn't a bad film; good music score, scenic views of the Italian countryside, and a decently creepy atmosphere, especially the last few minutes of the film.

    And cult favorite Peter Bark.

There was definitely already a thread on exactly this topic but I can't find it. So to repeat:

Suspiria (1977) - notable as probably the last technicolor film ever. Check out the vibrant colors in the trailer:

"The Last Man on Earth" (1964), a zombie flick with Vincent Price, was remade about ten years later as "The Omega Man," with Charlton Heston, with the zombies recast as germ warfare mutants. Here's the trailer for the Italian Price vehicle, which had a very scary scene with his zombie wife trying to get in the front door:

I loved Tenebre but I can't help but think of that Justice track whenever the music kicks in, kinda takes away from the fear aspect when you wanna start dancing. icon_lol.gif

Bay Of Blood is a great slasher movie. The Italian's knew how to lay on the sauce !

One of my absolute FAV Italian Horror films is 1985's DEMONS & 1986's DEMONS 2 directed by Lamberto Bava & produced by Dario Argento!

They're FUN, gross, loud, intense, brash, pack tons o' imagination, slick, & did I already mention FUN?!

    @ HorrorHound

An awesome series; these movies still make me cringe even though I've seen them countless times at Halloween and when I feel like seeing a well-made horror film.

I love how the Demons series evolved into some pretty outrageous "sequels" such as Black Demons, which is set in Rio and involves zombies raised due to a voodoo curse.

    Black Demons
    Demoni 3
    Italy
    1991
    Director: Umberto Lenzi
    Studio: Filmakers S.r.l.

Great trailer too with just scenes form the movie and music playing with no dialogue.

Actually no other film is a Demons "sequel" officially - many other films, such as Black Demons & The Ogre, were sold as "Demons 3" in other foreign markets to capitalize on the popularity of the 1st 2 DEMONS films.

"The Church" was intended to be the official sequel but director Soavi wanted it to have its own approach.

I sure do wanna see Black Demons though!

Who can forget a teenage JENNIFER CONNELY emerging from this body-pit filled with maggotts (from Dario Argento's PHENOMENA aka CREEPERS)
