Have you guys thought about what your lives will be like when you get older? I just saw a very moving documentary(10 More Years) about Older Gay and Lesbians. It made me seriously think about how my life would be in my 60's and 70's. Right now I'm 43, I will be 44 next month, it's really hard to picture how my will be beyond 50. But I'm seriuosly thinking about it now.

Yes I do now, since I am close to 50 and only 10 years from retirement (hallelujah). I did not think I was going to live this long so it is all icing on the cake from now on.

I will have most likely died of a horrific bike accident.

I've already left a great mark on family, friends and strangers and would like to think they'd think back and smile about the oddball that entertained them.

And that no fucking Enya would be played at my funeral. Fuck. Enya.

Yes, I think about the future all the time.

At 18, I couldn't fathom what 30 would be like, it seemed so far away.

My 20's a progressive state of turmoil and likely the most dramatic changes in my life.

My 30's thus far are quite comfortable but the next 10 yrs may be unsettled again but with more confidence since life has provided the necessary skills to handle changes.

If anything, I can distinctly remember 30yrs and have a better appreciation of time and mortality.

I always have goals and challenges on my list, thus I may never be in a state of complacency until I drop dead.icon_smile.gif
