Well I know you might be getting a little tired of my bringing up gas prices, but I find it fascinating. Oil closed at less than $82.00 a barrel today (Friday, October 10) and in Kansas gas prices have virually collapsed.
$2.68 a gallon yesterday. In some places here, stations can't keep up with lowering the price....

This is definitely what is known as a silver lining to a very dark cloud. I am waiting for the other shoe to drop though. When will OPEC start cutting production?

As for the stock markets crashing, it is now getting ridiculous. People are panicking and throwing the baby out with the bath water. Stocks are now getting to the point where they are oversold. Fear and panic has replaced greed and complacency. I wonder what the "rational market" theorists are saying now? As if anything involving homo sapiens can be considered 100% rational. icon_mad.gif

Unfortunately we haven't learned our lesson yet and the gas guzzlers will still be on the road in huge numbers. I wish we would have finally broken out of this cycle, but I guess it wasn't meant to be this time around. Nor was it in the early '80s.

I wish they would drop here, we are still getting screwed but the good thing is I know a lot of people that are not buying it. As soon as the barrell goes up the price goes up that day however when the barrell drops the price stays up. That shows the truth behind it all. Oh well Im glad the stocks are down after this big bailout thing because it just shows that until the little people have the money to spend it dont matter how much money the banks have :-) Oh yeah my realtor told me this week that the government is doing what they did in 1995-1999 with home loans lol. Financing at 100% to unqualified people in order to, wait for it..... get this, boast the economy LOL effing idiots!
