I just got back from another gym night... like usual at the end i was completely drenched. not an exaggeration. today i did the bike for cardio... 40 minutes... level 15... about 20 of those minutes i do arm movements as well... to the side, in front, over my head... heart-rate around 140-150... by the end i literally am like a leaky pipe... drip drip drip... everywhere... the machine was soaked... my shirt completely wet like i just got out of the pool... always happens when i do cardio

i dont sweat profusely any other time (maybe sex now and then) and when i'm done with cardio i no longer am sweating... i go and wring out the shirt right after.

i now save cardio for last so i dont wet all the weight machines

is that weird? i sometimes see other sweaty guys but nothing like that. sometimes i have to warn the people next to me to not leave their stuff next to my machine so it doesn't get wet. there is a bit of a splash factor esp when i do the elliptical or treadmill for long periods of time.

what's your sweating like? my main pic is me after a 4 mile run... nothing compared to what i look like after the gym

Someone put the "wet floor" sign next to me once.
I've weighed myself pre & post cardio before & found I'd lost 1Kg, that probably meant I'd sweated out nearly 1 litre of water (in an hour). icon_redface.gif

It's good for you..remember you have to stay super hydrated ...
..This is also a sign your pores are in good working condition..

...I shower before the gym..use my exfoliating gloves ..put on very light cologne and look forward to getting wet... icon_biggrin.gif

The only thing that annoys me is ... Butt crack sweat... aka Ass juice..
So i have to wear dark gym shorts..

    Love that Photo icon_redface.gif

I only sweat if I'm doing cardio but its never really a lot unless the gym itself is hot. If its normal or cool then I really don't sweat.

I literally can't do anything without sweating. I wake up soaked, my work shirts have sweat stains, and working out is the worst. I hate it.

I didn't start really sweating when I ran until 1/2 way through college. I was like...wtf? Now it's just ridiculous. Granted it doesn't bother me much because it makes me feel like i'm kicking my own ass.

But yes, at the gym I actually feel bad for those around me lol.

I actually don't sweat as bad as most people, only on my forehead, chest and on my upper back, but that's it. Also I don't sweat under my arms at all, I went to see my doctor about it and said there is nothing wrong, people just don't sweat in certain areas. Lucky icon_razz.gif

If you're concerned about excessive sweating, you should see a doctor. Keep in mind that certain medications can cause excessive sweating.

Sweating is a pretty normal thing. It's up to you and your doctor to decide if the amount you sweat is excessive, and if you need medical attention. Otherwise, a good antiperspirant and loose-fitting clothes should help you to minimize sweating.

If you're not sweating you're not moving, if your not moving you're not working out, if you're not working out get out of my way

Same here actually. I could be doing like a warm-up exercise or something and I would start sweating, even I'm clearly not worn out. I figured it was just my genes that induce quick-sweating.

I sweat buckets and I can go through 2 litres of water quickly. In hot yoga, look out, cause I have to ring my shirt out onto my yoga mat and towel a few times. lol

Yes, count me as one who sweats a lot. Doesn't matter what it is, cardio, weights, body pump, I will be soaked by the time I'm done. Not only that but the towel will be soaking wet too. Drinking water adds to the amount of sweat too, but I do drink while working out.

When weight lifting, I sweat a little but it dries up in between sets and is never noticeable

When doing cardio, its a different story, I don't really get drenched but I get drippy and my shirts obviously wet from top to bottom both sides...I think it depends on your size a bit too

Not a naturally sweaty guy, even when working out. I tend to sweat when I'm really nervous.

Only when I do a lot of cardio. I wear Under Armour to cut down on the sweating.

So I'm free to completely obstruct your path if I'm cranking away a few reps?

I absolute sweat like a faucet. I usually do higher intensity spin (RPM) and after 45 minutes and I am drenched! But then again, I've had a few ladies come up to me and tell me I inspired them to push harder on the bike because I sweat so much. Too bad they werent guys.
