This gay marriage showdown between the states is worth a popcorn-munching kitty:

It's going to be weird having states with equal opportunity marriage laws neighboring states that exclude same-sex marriages. I'm a bit worried about Florida myself.

And don't forget California! The poll numbers have flipped, and it looks same-sex marriage may lose in November, taking away what was given to us by the CA State Supreme Court.

3 states down, 47 to go. Unfortunately, my state of Virginia will prob be one of the last ones to do so, and only when the Supreme Court forces the issue.

Good job Connecticut!

Wonderful news! Keep your eye on the California prize. That's the big fish. Not to diminish Connecticut's great and historic achievement.

The news is even bigger than just gay marriage. the ct court found that lgbt folk were similar to african americans and women prior to their movement and awarded lgbt people a suspect class under equal protection
