Any ideas on how to get the funky sweat smell out of an I-phone sport armband? I've soaked it over night in soap and laundry detergent and it still is just funky.

It says not to wash in bleach. Any suggestions?

baking soda might also work, mix some up with water, and work it in, let it set overnight and rinse it well

Get a new one. I've tried baking soda, peroxide, even tried "Out" which is supposed to get out protein odors like urine--nothing works.

    I got it!

I wash my armband in the dishwasher!

    I hope this helps others!

Glad we're not the only ones who found this is the only solution. We just resolved that it's an ongoing expense to replace them often because it's just impossible to get them to be acceptable after a while of use.

Yeah, just get a new one. I do the same thing with my knee and ankle braces. Definitely worth it

Try soaking in a borax solution. It works for my roomie's incredibly smelly running clothes.
