courts get involved .. Palin scolded by judge .. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/10/10/palin-e-mails-judge-order_n_133727.htmlThe judge ordered the attorney general to contact Yahoo and other private carriers to preserve any e-mails sent and received on those accounts. If the e-mails were destroyed when the accounts were deactivated, he directed state officials to have the companies attempt to resurrect the e-mails.
"We shouldn't be in a position where public records have been lost because the governor didn't do what every other state employee knows to do, which is to use an official, secure state e-mail account to conduct state business," McLeod said after the 90-minute hearing.
"It's a dereliction of the governor and her duties," she said.

The Republican controlled legislative panel in Alaska voted unanimously to release the investigation, which you can read here.

Damn yous GQJock, I've been itching to be the first to post this. well, here's what the Alaska Daily News has to say: Troopergate report: Palin abused powerAnchorage Daily News Published: October 10th, 2008 04:29 PM Last Modified: October 10th, 2008 04:29 PM An investigation has concluded that Gov. Sarah Palin abused her power, according to a report just now unanimously released by the legislative council. The report by investigator Steve Branchflower found that Palin violated the state's executive branch ethics act, which says that "each public officer holds office as a public trust, and any effort to benefit a personal or financial interest through official action is a violation of that trust." Branchflower was investigating whether Palin abused her power by pushing for the firing of state trooper Mike Wooten, who once was married to the governor's sister. http://www.adn.com/palin/story/552393.htmlThere are links to the official docs on this too. Wonder if there will be impeachment proceedings and/or a new choice for Rep. VP Candidate and a new VP debate.

McGay saidUm, October Surprise anyone? October Surprise came early. It's the Economy. Besides, will anyone REALLY be surprised by this? Palin's descent is happening pretty much as fast as her ascent, except among the Republicans. Independents and women who watched the VP debate were turned off by her and have been flocking to Obama. Besides, we'll see how much traction this story gets. It's released late Friday afternoon? That's when stories usually get released so they don't get as much attention as they would during the week. Wish they'd waited till Monday. But, the lead story Monday will be the same story as it was this week -- the economy, the stock market, jobs, etc. That will hurt McCain and Palin worse than this story. And fine by me.

Supposedly Palin is still being sought to be on Saturday Night Live before the election. I am very curious how that would play out. Politicians have to be openly self-deprecating to be on there. I'm not sure if she can pull it off.

This Palin woman is a real piece of work isn't she !!! If she had any professional common sense or ethics training she would never have allowed her husband to be involved in her "day job" !!!! Of course her religeon probably has it that the "MAN" is the head of house, so therefore he should have some say !!! LOL !!! What do you bet that this religeous issue is involved?

Shouldn't he be called the "First DUD"?
Exactly what are his educational, career and political credentials that he was so deeply involved in the policy & operational workings of a state government, in which he held neither elective nor appointed office?
