As much as I disliked my S3, I loved the vid camera. Given that I am an elderly tech geek, I'll probably do this one.

I got my S2 just before the S3 was released, and at the time, I wasn't concerned about the S2's lack of 4G because I figured it would be a year or two before they'd roll it out in this area. Well, 4G has been here for some months, and I don't qualify for a phone upgrade until October. Next phone will definitely be the S4.

Did anyone else notice the huge cold sore on the lip of the guy wearing the pink shirt?

Totally took my attention away from the phone

Samsung already confirmed that they will be using plastic and cheap materials for the construction of the device. Samsung has 0 incentive to improve their built quality when they keep selling their Galaxy Series without a problem. Samsung's advertising budget is larger than that of Google's Apple's and Microsoft's combined which is the main reason why their devices are so popular.

If you really are looking for a good quality and better featured Android smartphone I would recommend you to get Google's Nexus 4. I have it at work and I can assure you it is a million times better than whatever Samsung has ever come up with. You also are guaranteed to get the latest firmware upgrades before anybody else.

I have had my S2 for two months and I love it. I had a DroidX with Verizon, now I am with Boost mobile. It was such a huge upgrade for me. Probably a year or two from now I will get another upgrade and will go with another Galaxy phone.

Agreed, I own a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and the back cover is PURELY plastic! The edges and screen are very easy to scratch. My brother who bought the same exact phone with me had his screen cracked suddenly when he's 5x more careful than me with his phone while awaiting his screen protector to arrive... now I'm waiting for mine to crack one day and complain to samsung...

LOL. I don't understand the hate for plastic bodies. Almost all smartphone users (both Android and iphone) slap on an ugly plastic case anyways.

    Thanks for mentioning phonearena!
They have a fantastic Youtube channel.
Here's a vid of the HTC One vs. Samsung G S3

I Really like the HTC One suprisingly enough. I have a couple of Iphones (1 personal and 1 work related) and frankly are a bit bored with them. HTC One might be a good fix I actually like the Android system better.

    Tristan

HTC One vs Samsung G S4 (which is not out yet. However the S4 does sound promising)

Uh huh. Mine cracked at about 3 - 4 weeks after a drop of maybe 12 - 14" from my hands to the table top at a subway. Build quality sucked compared to the Droid Razr HD, but the vid camera is great.

This is while I walking and one would think it was on a dolly. At 1:07 look at the color saturation on that red vette. Plus the sound quality sounds very much like it did when I was there. The S4 will be worth it just for this.

The Droid HD is a kevlar back and is almost impossible to mess up.

I prefer rubbery textures for better grip. The only reason why I have a case on my S3 is because the smooth plastic surface is too slippery. But I would definitely take plastic or kevlar over glass (too fragile) or metal (scratches up).

I've used cases on every cellphone I've ever owned, and it is, no doubt, why the only thing that has ever broken or worn out is the charging jack. I don't care what the case is made of, because I'll almost never see it.
