Just a personal experience with Ginseng.

I just wanted to write a little about my short time of trying Ginseng for energy during work outs. I tried it because a friend recommended it, but I was wary because of reading that people said it doesn't work, and the mixed results of scientific studies.

I know wonder if those people have even tried it, because after a week, I definitively noticed a difference. I think I first noticed my mood change, I was more aggressive, not physically, but I felt more of a need to "win" at anything. I also started breaking out on my chest, which I never had chest acne, but really that didn't bother me too much, because I was at least getting other benefits from it.

Though I had many bad side effects, insomnia being one, that only got worse. I ended up stopping taking it because of the sleep issues and moodiness. I did feel more confident on it, and I liked the aggressiveness honestly, I like that I feel like I could take anything on.

I stopped taking it after about 2 weeks, the insomnia was running me into the ground with school and work, and I was starting to feel like shit even though I eat really well. I might try it again with a lower dosage, we will see.

I just hope this sheds some light on some natural work out supplements that research seems to be indefinitive on. Of course others might have a different experience. Hope this helps anyone researching supplements.

Anyone else have any experience with natural testosterone increasing suppliments

Like any other nutrient, its effects will vary from person to person.

Personally, I buy ginseng by the box (30 bottles) and add it daily to my homemade green tea and honey. It's fucking spectacular...for me.

But I know many other people who can't use it because of the same symptoms you had.

BTW, I'm also VERY physically active (not just lifting, but adrenaline sports). That might have something to do with it.

I use Imperial Elixir Chinese Red Ginseng.

I only take it in the morning. Even if I were to go to the health club after 5:30 p.m., I would not take it then. In fact, I would not take it after 2:00 p.m.

I do not mind being up and productive at night. I hate being up and not being able to do anything productive--that type of insomnia I hate.

That happened to me last week when I thought the Ginseng could speed up my sleep repair, BUT, it turned my consciousness on and opened my eyes (basically: insomnia).

I used to take Ginseng and I definitely saw benefits, after some time though I came across Sulbutiamine which is a synthetic version of Thiamine (Vitamin B)

For energy, mental acuity and overall feelings of focus and well-being it is hands down the best supplement I've ever taken...

Finding a dose that works for you though is lots of trial and error AND you can really only take it effectively once a week, waiting 2 is preferable (effects will be full blown) apparently the bodies tolerance builds up extremely fast. But there are residual effects for several days so it all kind of balances out in the end.

Caffeine increases effects if taken together.

I highly recommend doing your own research before taking anything of course, I can only vouch for myself, have been taking it for a couple of years and it's definitely in my top supplements. Great for the gym.
