Boston College, Maryland and Louisville are already through to the 2nd round and Texas Tech, Davidson and Stanford are packing their bags and heading home.

I'm off to a liquid lunch to watch some games now...Enjoy everyone and thanks to the guys who joined our March Madness Group on ESPN!

Duke lost in a suprising upset. But being a Terps fan, no love lost. I'm rooting for Maryland all the way.

My bracket is still intact ... Texas Tech screwed me up a little. I underestimated BC. As much as I love Duke, I'm glad that I picked VCU in my bracket.

Tough to see my Dukies go down early, but not surprised. Glad that we lost to a VCU team that played well. They're an easy team to root for.

And I've still got the women's tournament, where the Blue Devils are the top seed....

I picked the Duke women to win it all. I'll be even happier if they beat Latta & Co. in the finals. I despise the Evil Empire with a passion.

Hope your right...Duke women have been very consistent this year and they have a bracket that looks easy on paper, so I think they'll get to Final 4. Coach G just needs to get over the hump and finally win the big one. There are lot of teams that could win it - Latta and the Heels, Parker and the Vols, Geno's Huskies and the defending champ Terps are all good enough and Courtney Paris is good enough to lead any team. And then you have the drama of the LSU team with a replacement coach but a great post player in Sylvia Fowles who can take over any game.

The Women's side doesn't have the depth of the men's tournament, but Sweet 16 on it's usually much more competitive and the Final 4 is traditionally a WAR. This year should be no exception.

On the men's side, Winthrop blew a 20-point lead and then held on to beat Notre Dame the day before St. Pat's day. And it looks like Wisconsin is going to withstand a huge charge by Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and pull out the victory....

I'm an Arizona St grad....so I'm hoping for a PAC-10 surprise in the women's tourney. And of course...I'm all kansas on the men's side.

I thought Nevada might upset Memphis, and I didn't think Texas would tank the way they did. But the heavy-weights are intact so far. I wish the boys from Kansas could play in St Louis and not have to potentially play UCLA in San Jose.

The Lady Sun Devils had a tough opening round game against UCR, but I've got them going to the Regional Finals against my Dukies. They'll wear down both Louisville in the 2nd round and then Vandy or Bowling Green in the round of 16. They may give Duke a tough time in the Regional Final Duke starts tightening up (like they've done historically). Their game is not pretty, but it's effective.

KU Looked the best this weekend and I think Self's ties to the MVC will serve him well in preparing for the SIU matchup in the round of 16. If Pitt upsets UCLA, then KU is in the Final 4 for sure. If they meet UCLA, it will be tough since UCLA will be well rested and the San Jose arena will be pulling for them. I like the defensive intensity Howland brings to the Bruins, but never feel safe with a freshman point guard.

Bruins experience from last year and home-court advantage will be alot to overcome, but KU's got the talent to do it.

The home crowd carried UCLA last year in that Sweet Sixteen game with Gonzaga...that was a great game. UNC looked pretty good over the weekend too. But, the West is the only region to have the 1, 2, 3, and 4 seeds advance. SIU is tough...so I hope Self does have a good game plan. Ticket brokers would be upset if it's a SIU/Pitt final in San Jose.

You got that right about the ticket brokers. I love the Bay Area, but it is a TERRIBLE market for college basketball. Ulitmate fair-weather fans, so if UCLA is bounced, I'll probably be able to snare face-value tix to the Regional Final.

Well...the turnout in St Louis will be interesting with Butler the only really so called "local" team in that bracket. Interesting as well to see how the A&M fans travel to San Antonio...Texas is a football state!
