Yay Emory! I only got to go for a year (financially unreadable to return) but loved my experience there. I can only imagine the political wrangling that took place as Emory is very proud of its Atlanta connections (especially Coca-Cola). I only hope that Chick-fil-A finally gets the message and that more educational institutions give them the boot!

Yeah let me say this. Atlanta is not happy, and I would not be surprised if it ends up going back in. The problem with Chik-Fil-A is that the more it gets punished, the more business they get. All the Chik-Fil-As in Georgia get a DISGUSTING AMOUNT of people to go to them when they are in the news. In all honesty, this is probably a good thing for them. icon_neutral.gif

Bad press is still Press. icon_neutral.gif

It's actually not that. People are mad that Gay people can demand rights and everything, but for Chik-Fil-A to be vocal about their beliefs is hypocritical.

I'm just telling you what people have told me. Also this actually has nothing to do with Gay rights, it has to do with Freedom of Speech. A lot of Georgia residents actually would like Gay Rights. Im shocked but it is true.

I'm of the mind that Chik Fil A can say whatever the hell they want, but I won't spend money there knowing that some of it will go to the FRC.

I 100% agree. Also the food is DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's also a scam, eating there is not healthier than McDonalds or similar.

Also if I am not mistaken that have stopped giving the FRC money.

I think those people are pretty damn stupid if they don't know the difference between Freedom of Speech and funding campaigns to keep people's rights limited. I call that hate by spiteful ignorance.

Ah, in the end it is just a hateful cycle of judging in my opinion. Most of those people, believe in gay rights, and freedom of speech. Chik-Fil-A has stopped donating to charities that are anti-gay, as gay men we have won for now. What do you want them to do now? Force them to donate to gay charities?

And in the end, let them donate to the FRC. Gay rights will happen in the next 5 years for all America. It is a done deal, whether it is Federal or State. Let them waste and throw their money away.

Thinking it's a done deal is a sure fire way for it to never happen.

I know its a done deal, but will still fight for it. But thinking it will never happen as well will keep everything the same.

    Aristoshark saidRad, Rad, Rad.
You have to stop being this gullible.
It was never about 'freedom of speech'. No one ever said that Dan Cathy couldn't say whatever hateful shit he wants to.
It's about taking YOUR money....the profit derived from your purchases ...and using it to FUND people who harm YOU.

It's the right-wing blatherpoint to say this was ever about the First Amendment.
    it never was.
    That is a lie.
Like I said, this is about the people supporting Chik-Fil-A when they are badly presented in the news. The Chik-Fil-A, next to my house had a 1 HOUR WAIT!!!! A 1 HOUR WAIT FOR FAST FOOD!

And the reason for the people to support them, is because of Freedom of Speech.

Im not saying I disagree with you. But I am saying why the people are supporting them. I actually know Dan Cathy, and the man is more two faced than anyone you will ever meet.

I don't believe that the people who spent an hour in line did it just to express support for Freedom of Speech, that dog don't hunt.

In this very moderate city of Columbus Ohio, it was an hour wait and I was in line and there at 11:30 AM

And the reason for the people to support them, is because of Freedom of Speech.

    Big part of it.

I'd go there more often if weren't for the detrimental effects on health. I already spent three hours today in the gym and that's enough per day so I'll have to wait until the next ChickFiLa appreciation day.
