Looks like a cross between the Chevy Volt and the Ford Taurus. I wish GM would take more risks in design. Or at least poach some designers from their overseas divisions.

I can't find the article. But, someone noticed that Ford Taurus is a quality vehicle that is *very* popular with business fleets and rental agencies. This puts vehicle resale value at risk after you drive it off the lot. I suspect Impala is susceptible to the same problem.

That being said, my only fault with last year's Impala is the package tray was higher than my Volvo sedan. It seemed awkward every time I checked the rearview.

Correction: VW ripped off the outgoing Chevy Impala.

The new incoming improves on what VW should've done.

Impalas haven't been RWD since the 80s.

No worries though, the new Chevy SS - yes that's the name - is a full size RWD sedan hitting the showrooms in the very near future.

Basically a thoroughly reworked Pontiac G8.

Feels like all cars are becoming docile looking lately.

Yawn. ANOTHER front wheel drive, Camry wanna-beeeez.

Hoping that in another couple of years Ford will introduce a revamped, rear wheel drive, V8 engine powered Crown Vic and/or Town Car.

Contrary to what their biased market research tells the car companys, not everyone wants a front wheel drive, side winder V6 engined blandmobile.

It will be interesting to see sales if GM tries to pull back on the massive discounting normally used with the Impala.

That steering wheel is terrible. I just can't get over it.

you so clueless when it come to cars.

That's why we'll have the 6.2 liter V8 Chevy SS on sale shortly.

The BoF Ford CV Panther platform dates back to 1979 so you won't see a revamp. You could see a smaller RWD based on the next (2015) Mustang platform.
