So, alot of people have been telling me to do ab workouts BEFORE a cardio run and then alot have also told me to do abs AFTER a cardio run.

    Which one is correct?

I usually do a cardio run about 5 times a week for about 20 mins.

I do a light weight lifting for my arms, and sets for my core workout.

So question is, do it before or after?

    Neither.

Work your ENTIRE CORE...whenever you have enough energy and stamina to do so without compromising your other fitness routines.

In other words, never work "just abs."

I prefer to do core as it's own muscle group and work it twice a week. I've done it the other way, at the end of a workout, but I can't work it nearly as intensely when it's just thrown at the end of a workout.

I work my abs 5 times a week before my cardio (I'm too beat to start on anything after cardio because I never half-ass it). Yeah, yeah, working my abs that much works for ME, I don't care what anyone else says. I was down to 140 at 5'11 when I was swimming, zilch body fat and it barely made a dent on my ab definition, so screw that abs start with diet as a rule bullshit.
