    Welcome to life.

If you don't like it, there's only one way out. icon_twisted.gif

The only thing about high school that ends is the bullying, and even that sometimes happens outside of HS.

Definitely NOT. I'm pretty sure you already know of all the cliques in the Gay Community: Twinks, Circuit Boys, Gym Bunnies, Bears, Muscle Boys. . . Etc. And SOME of the people within these cliques create this imaginary hierarchy of popularity. (Obviously not speaking for everyone though).

To an extent, yes. But in the real world nobody gives a fuck if you're wearing name brand clothes, or have the newest cell phone that has come out. It's not as huge of a popularity contest that High School is.

I'd say the social cliques and stuff yeah. Adults can be nasty. >_>

Cliques and popular groups exist in every human social situation. School is just where you get the first taste of it.

That reminds me...I've heard of A List actors but I didn't realize this same concept applies to gay guys until I watched A List:New York on Logo several years ago. What a joke! There's nothing A List about any of those guys. And then the network created a Dallas version. Talk about bad comedy!

The good part about life after high school is that you can tell people that they are assholes and never see them again (unless it's on your job, in which case I wouldn't). Otherwise, yeah, there are still the same groups and popular people, but your potential circle of friends is way bigger.

Literally, yes it does end. (Except for the occasional dream when you are still in high school and forgot a test/project/etc.)

I don't know if there is such thing as "popular groups" in normal life. There are just groups of people. Sometimes they have high expectations when it comes to grooming or appearances, but the fact is that it's always like that, high school is just the ultimate personification of this group dynamic.

I mostly enjoyed HS but I know that's rare. But in any case, I think the answer has to do with you, where you choose to live and who you choose to associate with. For me HS (meaning the cliquish bs stuff) ended a LONG time ago. I just refuse to engage w/ people like that.

Of course, there *is* RJ... an exception to the rule for me, lol. icon_lol.gif
