southbeach1500 saidWell, he already got his "taxes on the rich" - wasn't that supposed to solve all the problems?

Not to mention the 2% payroll tax hike on everyone making a paycheck, even the working poor.

Uh oh, you're now stepping into SB's cherished rant that the working poor pay no taxes. In which case SB should be very, very happy with this 2% tax.

No, my claim is that "the chosen one" said time and time again that he would not raise taxes on middle income or the poor..... "not one cent" were his exact words. But that was just another lie he has told Americans just to get elected. Now his plan is to tax everyone and everything. You of all people should know that is the democrat plan...grow government. To grow government you need to tax. 3.5 trillion dollars in tax increases and its still not enough??

Well, here outside of the US, Jock1, your Republicans are famously known for growing government.

I'm going offline, so quickly grabbed this to show you for now.

...and here, in case you think I'm giving Obama a pass.

Republicans are not without fault either but this is Obam's term. He is a big enough boy to not say.....well they did it so now we get to do it. If you have read some of my posts I have said its time both parties get rid of the old dirty bath water in Washington. We have 2 parties with 2 huge different opinions how America should be governed. If you lived in this country and saw what was happening everyday you would understand it a lot better.

    jock_1,

How do you think we got the return of the payroll tax?

    REPUBLICANS DEMANDED IT
in exchange for allowing the expiration of the Bush tax cuts.

The Obama administration and Democrats generally saw the payroll tax holiday as a progressive means of economic stimulus.

Republicans also saw the payroll tax break as a progressive means of economic stimulus, and quickly said "HELL NO!"
