Is Tim Tebow (my baby) Really Over In the NFL

So, today while I was scowering the internet I found two articles on Tebow (without searching him) and how his career was over. One article begged for a team to risk their 2013 season by allowing him to be the start quarterback so he can fail and we'll never have to hear about him again.

I don't follow football that much, but aside from his good looks IMO, I think he is a good role model for kids for trying to stay on the straight and narrow while trying to be a good player, instead of the endless amounts of multiple baby daddies, murder accomplices/witnesses, dog abusers, domestic abusers who have played in the NFL. Here, for once is a guy that kids, and adults can look up to.

So to all of my gay Tebowmaniacs, sports fanatics, or anyone who has an unbiased opinion (Where's CuriousJockAZ when you need him?). Do you think Tebow has a shot in hell of someone giving him a shot for a starting quarterback position next year? And if so do you think there is at least a slight chance he will redeem himself?

And if anyone feels compelled to mention "Tebow is a homo phobe", or "Tebow is anti-gay" without a quoted source for referrence please move on to another thread. It will be off topic. Thanks

He's a good guy, followed him through college when he was actually good.

Teams dont want to pay him because:

Two reasons why he is likely done in the NFL.

As stated already, he's a crappy QB. He would make a killer goal line FB or maybe even TE but he has stated several times that he refuses to change positions.

And secondly, the media circus that follows him everywhere is just not worth it for any team. Too much of a negative distraction, he's a victim of his own image. I don't think in the history of the NFL has any mediocre backup QB had more exposure or media coverage.

If he wants to continue to play football it would have to be in the Canadian League, but I doubt he does that. He'd make more money as a motivational speaker, which I feel is what he's going to do.

Even though I am no fan of Tim Tebow, it would be great if the Buffalo Bills offered him the opportunity as starting quarterback because things cannot get any worse for the Bills at this point. Fitzpatrick was a lousy quarterback and he is leaving Buffalo. But the Bills senile owner along with his coaching staff will pick some declining hasbeen for starting quarterback and nothing will change for the better. If they picked Tebow, I might even consider becoming a Bills fan although they would be a secondary favorite because I will always be a Chicago Bears fan.

He can probably save his career if he comes out of the closet. With him openly gay, the 49ers can sign him, so it can boost their image up with the gay community after those PR nightmares right before the Superbowl.

Also we ALL know he is a Tight End, through and through. icon_wink.gif

Tebow continues to be the most ridiculously over-hyped pro athlete in years. If he would bury his ego and accept playing other offensive positions then he could succeed in the NFL. He's clearly an athlete but he's not ever going to work as a QB in the modern NFL, which is a throwing league now. He could play fullback or tight end and he could possibly run some passing plays. But he's never going to be an every down QB in the NFL of the 21st Century. John Elway threw Tebow under the bus, and I think that's all that needs to be said. Elways knows a little something about playing QB in the league. You can't be an elite team in the NFL and run a glorified high school offense because of your quarterback's weaknesses.

Not fair to say Tebow couldn't beat out Sanchez - this coming from a Jets fan. Tebow was not given a fair shake at all in New York. It's clear that upper management wanted Tebow while the coaching staff wanted no part of him, hence the team bringing him in and him not playing at all during the season.

The Jets just had one of the most incompetent seasons I've ever seen a pro football team have. Mark Sanchez should have been benched in September, but the coaching staff (Rex Ryan) had this irrational love for him, so he was the quarterback until the season was already lost in late December.

If the coaching staff were competent, Tebow would have AT LEAST been given a shot at some point during the season to start. At quarterback, not tight end or fullback. It couldn't have gotten worse than Sanchez. Now I still think Tebow sucks, but he probably sucked less than Sanchez.

Hopefully the Jets can move on from him and the circus he brings. Don't really care how he does on another team, but I don't root for him to fail like others do.

That's Blaine Gabbert, not Brady Quinn.

Both should give up their football careers for modeling. icon_lol.gif

I've read a few articles on him too.

Basically, I understood that he wasn't really good enough to be a starting quarterback. Beyond that he apparently gained muscle, which isn't ideal for the quarterback position. (I guess he's currently a guard or something)

So his future doesn't appear to be good. (Especially with all the haters)
