CPAC Event On Racial Tolerance Turns To Chaos As ‘Disenfranchised’ Whites Arrive

A CPAC session sponsored by Tea Party Patriots and billed as a primer on teaching activists how to court black voters devolved into a shouting match as some attendees demanded justice for white voters and others shouted down a black woman who reacted in horror.

I love that ..... Racial Tolerance ? At a CPAC Meeting? Thats like a Cat grooming class at an American Kennel Society meeting

Hm, people are rather silent at this. Do they implicitly condemn this?

Thank you for posting this, GQ. I only knew about Terry's remarks. I didn't known there was more to it involving how Kim Brown was treated.

I think what's more disappointing is the way some of the attendees to that conference treated Terry's remarks, either by supporting his ideas or just shrugging them off.

Very telling about where the GOP still stands on race, and why they won't be earning more black votes anytime soon.

Yup, that's our GOP - still in thrall to the tea party and the whackos.

Is there a party for adult conservatives?

It's always a great idea to wear your Confederate flag t-shirt to the seminar on racial tolerance. icon_rolleyes.gif

And Republicans wonder why they lose 98% of the African American vote.

    Pathetic indeed.

The session, entitled “Trump The Race Card: Are You Sick And Tired Of Being Called A Racist When You Know You’re Not One?” was led by K. Carl Smith, a black conservative who mostly urged attendees to deflect racism charges by calling themselves “Frederick Douglass Republicans.”
Disruptions began when he started accusing Democrats of still being the party of the Confederacy — a common talking point on the right.
“I don’t care how much the KKK improved,” he said. “I’m not going to join the KKK. The Democratic Party founded the KKK.”

Ummm, The Democratic Party did not organize the KKK. It was started by 6 Confederate veterans.
It is really sad and pathetic when a black conservative a) allows himself to be a tool of the Republican Party to make-blieve that Frederick Douglas has anything to do with the ideals of today's Republican Party and b) can't even get history correct on a racially-sensitive topic.

To buy into the republican rhetoric ...... that's what you must do right away

.... and that is completely blot out any sense of history or rational thought for that matter in order to repeat these insane ideas

The republicans can't win without some minimal support from minorities....So what do they do? They berate said minority at CPAC...There suggested motto for next years conference...ASS BACKWARDS...
