    1. You have beautiful eyes. . . Just sayin' icon_biggrin.gif

    2. I came out to this girl at work recently and the first thing she says is "Oh my BEST FRIEND is gay, I think he'd be perfect for you!". Then she goes on to tell me all about him, and I honestly think the only thing we have in common is that we're both gay; which is obviously why she thinks we're "perfect" for each other.

    Anyways, I don't like being set up. . .

Oh my god. This. Completely accurate for my experiences too.

I've been set up twice. I never talked to either of them, again. I thought the friends knew me better than that...

To the OP.....good looking man! icon_smile.gif

A while back, a female coworker tried to set me up with one of the doctors she worked with. When she told me his name, I showed her Grindr and showed his profile. Then she said he was indeed a player and a whore. My words were "And why the funk do you want to set me up with him??" She must've thought two whores make it right!

In HS I was set up with a girl, unbeknownst to myself.
I thought of her as a friend, and she thought it was more than just me being friendly...

However, a colleague says she knows some cute medical students...such a tease, this girl.

^^This. Seriously. If I had a nickle for every time a girl has said that to me. I don't need a matchmaker, thanks.

Yup. Several times by my friends over the years. All of my friends being straight women. All of the guys they chose... yeah no. I simply looked at them and instantly went "NOPE.". Physically not my type, then when they opened their mouths, reaaaaaaaaly not my type.

My friends just didn't know what kind of guys I'd be into. When ever I inform them of what my type is, most of them are like "oh... I that is the opposite of what I would have expected!". Which, explains my experiences, haha.

If my friends ever offer to set up, I grill them with questions. Which results in me saying I won't meet them pretty much every time.

I just leave things up to chance now. Setups usually speak warning flag to me.
