how do i get back into a good workout routine???

    it's been a long time since i've had a good workout routine, and i'm trying to get back into it but i'm having trouble setting a good routine. i don't generally like splitting days up by muscle groups, i usually prefer to do full body each time i work out which in the past was consistent every other day.

    my thoughts are alternating running and working out each day, so workout mon/wed/fri and run (and calisthenics) tues/thurs/sat and rest sunday. but is it a bad idea to add in treadmill, stair climber or swimming type stuff on gym days? plus i'm planning on getting a TRX and i thought dropping the gym and taking the trx running with me.

    so as you can see i have a lot of ideas but not entirely sure what's best.

    so any help/advice i can get would be greatly appreciated.

    what are your goals? (a particular sport, an aesthetic etc). Decide that, then decide how you are gonna train to avoid disappointment.
