Okay I'm sure some/most of us are feeling this! But have you ever really thought about it? I'm big on karma and one of the things I believe in is that if you so something good then good things will happen to you. However, I'm a seeing all of these good things being given to jerks, while I just get dumped on :p how about you guys?

Good comes when you make it!

    End of story,

Cosmic bullshit is just that bullshit.

Take responsibility for your own life, the good and bad within it and make it the best you can.

Anyone that stands in the way makes a good mat to remove the mud from your shoes!

Life ain't fair. Deal with it. Don't be jealous or play the victim. Own it and make the best of it...

Doesn't look that way to me. I mean, every day crap is fairly evenly distributed but so is the every day good stuff. Wealth and power, now that is a whole other subject. Only the truly mean fuckers get that.

    Here is a simple explanation:

There are 2 buckets, one with pure water & the other is muddy water.
Now drop some dirt in both buckets...you'll notice the dirt dissolves in both buckets, but it more clearly seen in the bucket with pure water.

An observer sees it as thus:
As dirt is seen more clearly in pure water and cannot be seen in muddy water, he thinks that pure water is more contaminated than the muddy water.
& he comes to conclusion that the bad things happen only to good and pure water!
(But in reality it has dissolved equally in both buckets)

Same goes with things happening to good people and bad people.
It is as simple as that.

It's proof that God doesn't exist...

Bad things happen to everyone because in this world it is a race of survival. Everyone eventually meets their demise in one form or another, and it is almost never in a good way. So yes, bad things happen to everyone. So, you pick yourself up, you dust yourself off and you continue on because so much good also happens to us, but we just don't see it, because good doesn't cause us any pain, so some times we only see the bad because it almost always hurts.

actually, if your question is actually about dating...yes jerks get more and better dates. The answer why is clearly answered in the "would you rather approach or be approached" thread, where almost everyone says "be approached" jerks have a high volume of "approaching" and since nobody else does, they get the girl/boy that you may seem to not be able to get.

hot boys are there to be harvested, you just have to ask as many as you can til they say yes and not worry if they say no.

I think people who get dumped on a lot cling to the idea of karma, when what they should be doing is confronting the people who are dumping on them.

Happens all the time, everyday to somebody in the world.

I agree, I've never believed in "do good get good, do bad get bad".
Simply because there are good people who have bad things happen to them.
That and 'good' is so subjective because what I would classify as an act of 'goodness' or a degree of 'goodness', someone else might not think is anything at all or bad even.
This has never stopped me from always trying to be a good person though.

    Wow - agree!

My other initial thought was that most people consider themselves to be good people, unfortunately good things can't happen all the time - so therefore bad things have to happen to good people. I have no doubt imdarker is truly a good person, but learn and grow stronger from the challenges in life and enjoy and appreciate the good when it does happen. It WILL happen - especially to someone with such a hot ass! icon_smile.gif

Definitely, there is nothing such as karma, there is no balance out there.

Bad shit happens to both good and bad people. We're always looking for a reason. It doesn't exist.

Only because these "jerks" have no problem taking and getting what they want. If you have no problem with stepping on other people you can get what you want in life. Nice guys finish last bro. Or in my case sometimes not at all. icon_smile.gif

Being good is simply a choice..do i expect the world to fall into my lap??..no!!

..BUT I expect to be surrounded by good people..and good THINGS if i earn them...So.. I make it a priority to do good..

.. yes sometimes I fail at virtue.. but not most of the time. icon_biggrin.gif

This is why I don't believe in karma. I have a friend, he's the nicest guy in the world, he's attractive, he does everything he can for his friends and family, he's nice to everyone, and he's extremely positive. Well he came down with testicular cancer and had to lose his left nut, plus he's having to go through chemotherapy. What's even worse is that the chemotherapy may not work and he will have to do even more surgery. That's just how life is, it's not really what goes around comes around, but rather random things happen at random times. I do know this, that when bad things happen it's usually temporary and then things begin to take off.
