Perhaps they didn't get it right!
may be because of severe, sudden & rapid climate changes! Global warming! idk

Recently I read in some science magazine that, many species are finding it difficult to predict the weather especially during recent years where global average temperature was risen!

Majority of these are either hibernating or migrating species...So...may be they are not lying after all... icon_rolleyes.gif

yep last year we had 60s and 70s all through March in this area, now we are lucky to see a sunny day in the upper 40s. Wet snow coming down but only sticking to grass, might pick up a couple of inches

    Kill that damn groundhog

Hey wait, that groundhog said an early spring and here in SF, it's spring! The flowers are all in bloom, sun is shining, a nip in the air but nothing too bad. Sorry if he hasn't made it to the east coast yet but 'Phil' has done a great job here! I believe!

You guys are all bitter! Poor little furry friend with the buck teeth, you need to respect him. How would you like to have someone reach down your hole and pull you out in the middle of winter and ask you a lame ass question like, when's spring coming? If I were him, I'd say, go buy a calendar dumb ass!

Here's to your early spring icon_smile.gif Hog Hugs!

Some folks in Ohio are planning to indict Puxatawney (??) Phil for "gross misprepresentation" and lying about the coming of spring. I don't know how to do the linking stuff, but you can google it and read the story yourselfves.

I'd lie, too, if someone grabbed me out of my warm bed and held me up over their head in front of a thousand people...icon_evil.gif

Yea...a year ago we were flirting with 90 after four months of non-winter. It was a prelude to a violent spring and brutal extended summer heatwave. I'm willing to man up for a few extra weeks of snow and cold to avoid that again.

The idea that Groundhog Day is even real is pretty fuckin' lame. Vernal Equinox is March 20th (21st some years). which dictates the beginning of Northern Hemisphere Spring (Southern Hemisphere Fall).

I don't think he lied because he was trained to lie. He didn't want to come out in the shadow. I feel sorry for him because they sue him for fraudicon_lol.gif

We're not doing much better in the UK and we've got no groundhogs to lie to us. Some parts have 12foot snow drifts. Meant to be like this until after Easter now. Well....we didn't get a white Christmas....so I suppose this is meant to make up for it :-/

Obviously, some god, some where is punishing y'all for something. Or it could be the result of human exacerbated climate change. Either way I'm sure it's your fault icon_lol.gif
