Game came out today and it's getting outstanding reviews. Can't wait to get my grubby hands on it. icon_smile.gif

Never cared for part 2. My friend loves the game though.

If anyone picked this up, I'd like to hear their thoughts. Looks very cool.

I played the first Bioshock only. I loved the atmosphere and story, but the combat bugged me. The first person controls and the claustrophobic spaces meant a lot of spinning the camera around, which gave me a bit of motion sickness.

I haven't played the second yet, but I did pick it up at a Steam sale, and will have to give it a go one of these days.

The game has gotten nothing but awesome reviews, and as soon as I'm finished with Tomb Raider I plan on picking it up :-)!

FYI: Bioshock 2 was made by a different team than made Bioshock 1 and Infinity.

Bioshock 2 was admitted to be a cash grab sequal. The original creator of Bioshock didn't want to be a part of it so it was outsourced.
Again, just FYI as you probably shouldn't hold #2 against the series.

[I've not played any of them personally, except SystemShock2; I just like to keep up with these things. Will probably grap BI at some point though :]

Playing it! So far it is a interesting layout it is much brighter then the first two and yet it has the dark undertones here and there it is eerie. Some parts of the game there is no body but enemies, others there is people (btw when you kill people they turn into safe boxes with their belongings). I have made it to shanty town (yes) story line is just like the first it unravels throughout the game. You have a partner which is helpful at times. Favorite power up so far: Swarm of crows (not much different then the bee swarm). Dislike: You can only carry two weapons at once which is annoying certain instances and enemies call for certain weapons and sometimes you don't have them but you improvise!

I would say play it I can't put it down!

At least they're trying to save the series. five years of development and $100+million hopefully yields the best game of all time. (at least thats what people are saying)

Currently been working on B1 for 4 months lol, someday I'll get to infinity.

It tells an interesting story, and it's very, very pretty. Probably the prettiest 360 game I've played. Character models are absolutely stunning, when Elizabeth displays any kind of emotion I feel empathy that I rarely feel for video game characters.

Combat is okay. It's better than combat in the other two games. I do like the Skyline addition, but no matter what people say, Skyline combat is oftentimes downright wonky and nowhere near as streamlined as people say it is. It's not horrible, but it could have been better implemented.

Hacking has been removed and replaced by the easymode Possession vigor. Sad icon_sad.gif

Several things seem like they're merely tacked on to the game, like melee executions. I tried those out a few times and past the mid point of the game they're worthless since you're usually crowded by baddies and will take too much damage if you get into melee range.

The vigors are cool and way more useful than plasmids ever were. CROW BOMBS HOOOO

Skylines are fun to just ride in circles! Basically you can use possession throughout the whole game tho. Wish there were more boys of silence throughout the game cause they were BA

Yeah, Possession is overpowered across the board. Possess-spam a Patriot and sit back as it murders a room full of goons. At least they made it cost a ton of salts, though you can buy a tonic which reduces the amount of salts it consumes by a large amount.
