Ok so what is the definition of leading people on? My friends said i am leading people on but all i do is talk to them in a friendly way and i never tell them that i like them, it was just pure talking and skyping. So everyone said, that they prolly expected more and blame me for leading them on. I told them i want to be friend but open to the idea of ltr if we connect.

My definition of leading someone on is flirting without the intention of following through.

People will like what they like regardless of what all ever you do. Consider unrequited love for example.

True. I do know people who flirt without knowing it. Some people are just overly friendly, but that doesn't make them bad people. It's just realizing that you could be coming off as flirting.

I get that from my friends a lot too. Sometimes at the bar, I'll just be friendly and talk to people, but they end up misconstruing my intentions as a flirtatious act. It's kinda hard to draw the line for me between being friendly and flirty.

I think if you are just being friendly, sharing with no agenda, nothing wrong with it in the least. Friendly with an agenda is a different story.
