I would ask each to be VERY specific (ha hahahaha they are politicians and masters of NOT answering direct questions)

about what they would do if President immediately to help the many people out of work and losing their homes.

Ask each what they would do to insure this financial meltdown will not happen again.

It would be nice to know from an objective outsider's point of view what each candidate is going to do about the cost of future "entitlements" such as social security and medicare. The US is deeply in debt and the massive bill that the baby boomers are going to start bringing soon is rarely discussed. Probably because neither candidate has an answer that is palatable.

After all when you have been raised to believe that taxes should be cut and government programs are a waste of money (except of course defence) then it is hard to accept the fact that life can't go on as it did in the 80s and 90s.

George Bush Senior's verdict of "Reganomics" as "voodoo economics" had a lot of truth to it but it was before its' time.

In all fairness, it's the whole reason why the off-shore drilling topic came to be. But in response to the politics of it all, T Boone came out with another commercial complaining that his idea wasn't meant to be politicized, but to bring about ideas to changing our energy policies. Since then, the issue has gone relatively cold. It is what it is.

I think the best question asked so far has been what are you willing to cut spending on in order to see through the bailout plan? Of course, there has been no answer on that from either side.

My question would be what independent or third party candidate best represents a better opponent than your current opponent and why.

Let the floodgates open with that one.

most of the questions some of you ask have already been answered. if would would simply read an article or listen to both campaigns, you will have your answer.

i think questions you almost already know the answer to, shouldn't be asked. such as, what are you going to do about this, what are you going to do about that, what if this happens, what if that happens. these questions result in speculative answers - you will more than likely hear what you want to hear. see a fortune teller, there is no difference.

my question to McCain would be: when, at the precise moment, did you have the realization that you were choosing Palin as a VP running mate?

my question to Obama would be: did you personally offer Hillary the VP spot?

these are questions i would like to know the answer to. will they sway my vote, no - my mind was made up a long time ago.

i would ask them about what they are going to do with all the money that is off the books and has been stolen by our politicians and skimmed off of for their own personal gain. Will they be doing the same or will they finally stop playing " the shell game", stop the huge thievery that's been going on the last 8 years and finally release the funds for dispersement to the people it rightfully belongs to.

Ya know since 'McBuch' picked palin Govn Crist of Fl dropped his support for him... cause he was holding out for the running mate spot ( i think he would of been more qualified anyways )

Mine are a bit more theoretical but, I think, fundamentally important in determining how exactly he will guide the US through current issues.

    A couple of things:

1.) In all the tumult of what's happening now, and what will happen during your presidency, how do you plan on preventing an overexertion of federal power, particularly where it pertains to the personal liberties and autonomy of your citizens.

    ....

Crap...class is over. I'll finish this here in a bit when I get home. icon_smile.gif

What tortures will Bush and Cheney be submitted to at Guantanamo?
What implements, Mr. President-elect, do you think you will most enjoy personally wielding during the live video event?
