Well you know Marie may well be, a long standing member of The Church of Jesus Christ of latter Day Saints, a person who has her whole life been seen as a Mormon in Public life, and had the expectations forced on her by the public too be perfect

But Marie is also a Mother, a private women, with a life and family of her own. So it's Ok or Marie to support same sex unions, even if her faith does not; as with most world religions.

But I also recall the scorn that was to come Marie's ways in my youth by latter day saint mothers, who thought Marie was setting a bad example to the Young women of the chuch for wearing to much make up.

But hay Marie what up with those lips girl, they look hideous, so fake Hollywood.

I have to give her credit for her public opinions.

It takes people like Marie, one by one to start speaking out despite what their religion dictates. Although the mormun church would never blackball her because of her celebrity, it's still a good move forward. (She's also smart enough to know she has a gay fanbase).

What would make a bigger impact is to have closeted gay priests speak out and stop being such hypocrites. Equally suited would be followers of faith speak out and start leaving the church.

I shake my head at my Catholic relatives and friends(gay priests included) that support the rainbow persuasion but still get down on their knees every Sunday to pray.

I'm glad I had the balls to say never again and walked away from organized religion.

However, baby steps turn into big steps. Good girl Marie!

She used her son's suicide to hastily write a book and make the talk show circuit. And now she's trying to grasp an extra minute or two of media attention for whatever cause that comes along. HSN QVC MARIE OSMOND DOLLS JENNY CRAIG GAY RIGHTS ...Didn't she used to be a singer?

I may not be a big Marie Osmond fan but I applaud her for her standing by her daughter and support for same-sex marriage. I had also heard that her late son struggled with same sex attraction which may have led to his depression and ultimately to his suicide. A big shout out to Marie Osmond.

Wow! What a revelation! Marie, I'm sure, will remain mormon, but she took a bold step to oppose the church's teachings. I wonder if the suicide of her adopted son, who was reported to be gay, had anything to do with her transformation. There are reports that some in the Osmond tribe are gay.

    Honestly, no one should marry
It's been corrupted and full of financial, political and religious BS
