America could be powered almost entirely with wind turbines and solar systems by 2030 at a cost comparable to what we’re spending for dirty power today, a new study finds.

Heck, if Germany can do it, Arizona certainly can.

And remember, Germany gets more sun than the US. icon_lol.gif

Its always a study. The last last solar conference I went to one of the speakers asked the class if anyone in the room had a PV array. No one but me raised a hand , the speaker didnt either and had no plans to install one.

I was totally amazed when I visited Palm Springs CA in Feb. The wind farms were amazing and at ground level in between the wind turbine were solar panels. Pure brilliance.

Arizona has enough sun to power at least a third of the country just saying its hot out here!!!

Now just get cars going so we can run on water and we are good to go!

has anyone done their own study because the information i get from wind and solar power is a joke!!

wind power: if you are present at the wind farm for a week, record the wind speed and how many turbines are going, calculate the electric output created, and than see if that enegy is actually on the power grid?

Solar energy depends on how it actually being collected heat or light, so record the light/temperature through out the day, how much the solar panels are producing and if their on the grid!!

    that not all of it.

so wind turbine actually have a small range of wind speeds to operate in 12 to 55 when does that ever occur on a normal basis? So the more wind turbine more chances to get the wind speed to operate in.
Plus, the longevity of the turbines are only 10 years?

if renewable was consistant it would have been done long time ago however it is not reliable enough to support the demand of the growing technological era.

Plus was there a solar energy company in the media that billions of money gone and they could not trace it?

Plus, it cuts jobs, the Companies are making bank for something that is a joke but the people want it and going to save mother earth.

yet, it kills birds, and bats... so studies are being done on the effects... well birds migrates and they rely on those high windy areas to reduce energy while traveling such long distances. I bet a study will be done that birds are active flying during that wind speed ranges the wind turbines. they either strike the blades, get in the jet wash while near the turbines and or the electromagnetic straws them and fucks their long distance mirgratory and they fly into the turbines.

And power plants may it be nuclear, oil, garabage, natural gas, coal: are truely going to save us because we either to stupid of a nation to teach our the next generation to imagine, create and accomblish something new in the sciences. If we were to build one or many; we would have jobs, a stable economy, better safety regulations, and hopefully in the next century we have something to either store (conserve) energy, create never ending energy, and or better resource that can be much safer and more reliable in the energy technology.

and their more to it for example storing, transporting, and other areas in the whole energy crisis that are an issue in the whole thing, that i have not mentioned.

On an individual (house) basis wind and solar may be better however, electric or gas and or a generator to help in those times where it cloudy and no wind, and disasters.

So i really think you really need rethink, get some common sense, actually ask someone in the profession, older 35 + because i feel the younger ones are slowly being brain washed in the field.

    thanks, for your time.
