I have been bulking for about two months now and tracking my weight and meals on the my fitness pal app. For the most (with the exception of the weekends) I hit my macros with no problems.

The issue I have is one day I'll weigh in at 138 a few days later 141 and then a few days after that 138 again.

Does this happen to anyone else?
Anyone have any ideas as to why this happens?

Water weight. It will fluctuate from day to day depending on how much you have in your body. Having a high sodium intake or taking creatine can cause water retention, which can increase your weight somewhat pretty quickly.

The best way to track it is to make sure you weigh yourself at the same time & circumstances i.e. every morning I get up, piss, then step on the scale. Pay attention to the trends, not day-to-day fluctuations.

Whether bulking up or not, this is quite typical. However, be sure to weigh yourself at the same time everyday. A good time is first thing in the morning before you have eaten or drunk anything.

    Ok... sounds simple enough.
I'll have to pick up a scale since I usually weigh in at the gym.

    Thanks guys!

I also think it's pointless to weigh yourself every day due to the fluctuations. You'll drive yourself crazy with a pound here or a pound there. I've seen my weight fluctuate as much as 5 lbs from day to day. So I just weigh myself once a week.

Who cares what the scale says? The mirror is much more accurate.
