50 percent of me is happy for them. the other 50 percent is sad, jealous, upset, angry and etc because sometimes i don't tink i'll be able to find that special guy let alone get married like these two are fortunate to experience. icon_cry.gif so yeah, it sort of irks me to see other people get theirs in. just me being insecure with myself.

I have always loved Shirley Manson, even when she was a Terminator.

Which is absolutely OK to be sometimes. icon_wink.gif

However, you have nice features, a looked after carcass, you're intelligent, communicative and a few other things desired by many when they consider their own desires and needs for a partner.

So I think you will meet someone, even a few someones, and I discovered that it all hinges on how available you make yourself for others to find you in order to meet you. icon_wink.gif

Its becoming a tad tedious all these marriage proposals in public interupting everyones day.
Do guys feel like they need to ask in public to guilt a positive answer?

Maybe its an American thing, that is slowly taking over the world, one that is most annoying to everyone I know.

Best of luck to them but hopefully its the last of this "youtube" fodder we will be seeing

Let me tell you, from a person who got married in the brief window in California on his 7th anniversary...

Marriage proposals are what you make of it. If you want the romance and the spectacle, then that's fine. Most guys couldn't (and wouldn't) put up with the REAL WORK marriage entails, and quit at the first time their boyfriend even fucks up.

If you want the husband, quit the fantasy. Going on 13 years now, and will continue on until the day one of us dies, I can tell you, romance is as fleeting and a fuckload more work than the six pack abs. It's a marriage, not a honeymoon in Maui.

I asked my husband to marry me on the phone the moment I heard the California Supreme Court render their verdict. The woman in the Chinese restaurant where I had my "reception" thought my maid of honor was my wife. My mother in law cried the entire time wishing that I were a woman.

Would I change a thing? Not a one. Marriage isn't about the spectacle. Is about the work and the rewards of all that energy.

Exactly, thats what weddings are for, to show your love and commitment for each other in front of those that matter to YOU and your Partner. marriage is another story, thats where the work begins.
