Found a fascinating video on CNN that might point to Ronald Reagan supporting marriage equality.

    http://www.cnn.com/video/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+rss%2Fcnn_allpolitics+%28RSS%3A+Politics%29#/video/bestoftv/2013/04/04/exp-point-bragman-davis.cnn

    * Can someone help me with the link! I highlighted the link and hit the URL button, but still nothing!

As another RJer posted on the other thread about RR's (so called) "Gay Friendly" views: "when we recall histrory sometimes we revise it".

During his 8 years of POTUS, Ronald Wilson Reagan did NOTHING AT ALL about the rapidly escalating AIDS crisis. He resisted any and all funding requests, public education and recognition of this mass killer.

During his Presidency was when the "Religious Right" kidnapped the platform of the Republican party.....and also was when I left the GOP. Or did the GOP leave ME?

I know American history quite well. Aced my AP US exam and I always read current events and I love political documentaries.

Ronald Reagan appointed Scalia to the Supreme Court, who is notorious for being very socially conservative and homophobic. He also appointed Rehnquist who holds similar views. Both Rehnquist and Scalia held the dissenting opinion in Lawrence v. Texas, that means they supported states being able to criminalize gay sex and arrest gay people.
