Hey everyone!
It's my first post on here and I'm hoping someone can help me out!
I guess I will start with a little back story and then my question so you know where I'm coming from.
A few years ago I ended up in the hospital with Endocarditis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endocarditis) and lets just say that it knocked me down a few pegs. I was in the best shape of my life and now I struggle when I do a basic workout.
I been working out 3 - 4 times a week for over a year now and I'm really struggling. I wear a Polar heart rate monitor and my resting heart rate is 100 and when I do basic cardio / weight lifting, it jumps to 170+. I have to take a 3-4 min breather in between reps.
My workout consists of:
Stretching
Light weights (25 lbs - 40)
and cardio
After a work out and pretty much 90% of time (even on my off days) I am down right EXHAUSTED! I feel like I haven't slept in days. It's really effecting everything I do.
I have seen all my doctors on this and they haven't given me a straight answer. Had a full body physical / stress test back in November with passing colors.
My water intake is 8 + glasses a day as well as very healthy eating habits. I don't drink nor do I smoke. Multivitamins and Fish Oil are all I take.
Been working out with a personal trainer now for over a year and I feel crappy about where I am at now. Not that the trainer is bad (hes great and very understanding), but with all the breaks / pauses and struggles...My body isn't to where I thought it would be.
My stats are:
6"2 and I weigh 197 lbs.
If anyone has any thoughts on what I can do please let me know!
Thanks!
