Couldn't help but notice no one talking about Bioshock Infinite on here. I just got it last week and finished it the other day and absolutely loved it! And the music was pretty good too. So anyone got any opinions on it? Loved it? Hated it? Don't give a damn? Let's try to keep the spoilers to a minimum.

The reviews have all been pretty much A rated.....I've always wanted to play the original but sadly I'm waiting for the only game which seems more like a myth than anything....And that is this game

Too short, like the other two.

Really pretty (seriously), and tells a good story, even if it's going with the current quantum physics fad.

Elizabeth just overtook Alex from HL2 as the most convincing and helpful NPC in video games to date. Nearly wept with joy when the hint box stated "You do not need to protect Elizabeth in fights - she can take care of herself!". So glad the game didn't become another RE4 (though granted Ashley wasn't super high maintenance and could be stored in most conveniently placed trash bins to avoid detection).

Combat was super meh, like the other two. They could have implemented the vigors better, as they were very bland. Lightning. Fireballs. Woo. Now tell me I haven't seen this at least twice already. Also the "gear" felt tacked on and I rarely if ever found myself swapping equipment. It was obviously put in only to create the illusion of customization, since most pieces were worthless.

All in all, good eye candy, great characters, some decent memorable combat scenes, but bitterly disappointing lack of depth in the actual gameplay.

Going to try 1999 mode soonish.

I totally agree with you. Though some of the enemy AI was a little off. I could literally walk right up to an enemy and it would take 2 seconds for them to notice me. Most of the gameplay wasn't great, but it certainly didn't take away from the game. The designs were fucking phenomenal and they did a good job of creating an atmosphere for the game. I loved the exterior design of Comstock House, made me realize these fuckers didn't have a shred of modesty haha.

Also, what's 1999 mode? I've been hearing about it but don't know what it is.

Already passed it twice. 1999 mode and everything. 1000/1000 too. It was fun. Worth the money. Can't wait for the seasons pass stuff.
