Similar attack attempted a couple of years ago in Spokane on MLK day. But cops actually found the bomb ahead of time and diverted the parade. I believe they caught the perpetrator, eventually.

I tell ya there is going to be an revolution.
It may not be a revolution against the government per se, like the French Revolution. But it will be a revolt against the unjust way society is being run now with all the profits going to the top and nothing shared with the actual workers who produce the increased wealth.
Up until 1979, wages grew with the increase in the productivity. After Reagan and trickled down economics, wages have just treaded water while the country's wealth has increased.
I think the apparent random violence against people is beginning of people striking out against this society. Congress isn't working and voting isn't getting the changes people want. Congress is controlled by corporations and the very wealthy. And Congress has written its rules so that there is perpetual gridlock. A minority of 40% can block the will of the 60% majority. Congress likes it like that. It serves the interests of the politicians. They have the rules written so they are never without power whether they are in the minority or majority. But if voting doesn't get the government to change, people are going starting striking out.
That's my assessment of the violence we are seeing in our society today. When the pain gets too great, the people are going to start revolting, in one way or another.
