You should really do some basic research. They have little in common other than both being full of Asian people.

Personally, I love Bali, not a huge fan of Thailand, much less BKK. But that's just me.

Go to both. Both are near to each other and worth the trips. Cultures are different and foods are too. Both are 3rd world countries pretty much. I preferred Bali for the arts and uniqueness. But Thailand is not something to be missed.

I'd choose Bangkok (City of Angels) over Bali any day.
Ive spent a numerous amount of time in both places and out of the 4 times in Bali ive ended up extremely sick on 3 occasions just due to how "dirty" it really is there.
Bangkok is the hustle and bustle of south east Asia and is a mixing point of everything.
Beach life is a mere 2 hour drive from Bangkok (Pattaya) if that's something you want but i mean BKK has everything one could possibly need on holiday.
Its a fantastic city with great people and a huge expat community as well as thousands of other travellers so meeting people is never an issue.

But it really depends on what you want personally, do you want the hustle and non stop power BKK has to offer or do you want the slow life of what Bali has to offer?
If Bali is your choice try looking for places around Seminyak as everything is of higher standards and has a better class of people compared to the likes of Kuta.

    Thank you guys!!

I think I will choose Thailand as I don't wanna get sick and I have a phobia of dirty places..

I love beach relaxation and nightlife.

here I want to ask if I want to meet expats like me, which areas in Thailand to visit?

thanks again for taking some of your valuable time to answer..

You will find expats in the smallest corners of Thailand... Literally they are everywhere.
You will find a good handful in Hua Hin, thousands down in Pattaya same goes for Bangkok.

If you like the "Beach life but like night life as well look into Pattaya, Koh Samui or Koh Tao.
Phuket and its surrounds are too fucked up for my likings but it seems each time i head back to Thailand I always get stuck and end up spending my entire holiday on the island of Koh Tao...Its got everything one needs to escape from reality yet has everything one needs to keep going.
If you want some more info on other area's just PM me.

Try not to stay in Kuta in Bali if at all possible, way too many drunken Aussies around being dickheads, all on cheap flights from Perth.

I am planning on using my RnR this year staying in Bali, I will be working 2 weeks on 1 week off and its actually a hell of a lot cheaper for me to stay in Bali for the week than coming back home and staying in Oz.

Bali is great but its changed so much since I started going when i was a kid, highly commercial and lost a bit of its shine, there are beautiful places to stay still.
Thailand is not that great, not my fave place to go

    I prefer Bali to Thailand.

Bali, you can stay in one spot and day trip to other areas. Or bus around the island to stay in some really nice spots (Ubud, Padangbai, Amed, Lovina etc). You also get to see examples of Hindu culture and history in a Muslim country.
Great beaches, great diving, great surfing all around the island.

Thailand, also has many great places to visit (Buddist culture). The Grand Palace is unlike anything else in this world. Some great beaches, and nice villages to visit up north. Larger area than Bali, will take more time to see things.

Have fun which ever you choose.
