I didn't realize running around in public areas would garner so much attention in light of the recent events. Enough attention to be STOPPED. Yes I was stopped by a local park ranger. Apparently I incited some alarm among other visitors . I should leave this at home for a few weeks. This vest got A LOT of attention in public yesterday. Way too much for my liking. icon_eek.gif

I don't find your post amusing at all, in fact, I'd say it's in pretty poor taste.

You don't wear a tablecloth on your head or have a pube-stache that hasn't been groomed in a decade, so honestly I wouldn't be worried since you don't look like a Muslim.

That will just make it look more suspect.. It's staying in the closet for sure. I was pretty damn shocked to be stopped and have the conversation that I did with this officer. I understand where hes coming from but damn, HIGH tension moment...

If this is a serious post (I hope) I would consider wearing a light jacket over it or somehow under a shirt. Or you could risk getting your ass possibly shot.

I wonder if people wearing backpacks are being stopped? It's now established a backpack or similar bag is what carried the Boston bombs, and it's not the first time backpacks have been used for this. To me this vest looks like something a SWAT team wears. Suicide bombers usually wear explosive vests under other clothing to avoid drawing attention to themselves.

Outlaw guns, vests, bats, planes, shoes, backbacks, knives, envelopes, cars, alcohol, washing machines... oh lord, you're right. If people want to kill people they are going to kill people. Stop being so damn offended and accept death. It's tragic but we brought the unrest on ourselves and our children.

Label me the heartless bastard of RJ but the killing isn't going away any time soon. As with everything in life, we must learn to: accept, forgive, embrace, learn, teach, and love. Grace and humor go a long way in that process too.

I'll label you one of the ones with a brain and some balls.

Live free or die! Stop cowering, stop whimpering, stop giving up your freedoms left and right so that you can have some security all the while smoking, eating like a pig collecting diabetes, sitting on the couch while your heart breaks (heart disease #1 killer in America, not turrists).

The same shit is happening all over again as with 9/11, we heard about how brave and strong New Yorkers and Americans are, while one by one we created police states, gave up or freedoms no questions asked, allowed our phones to be wire tapped, gave up our Mouthwash at the security checkpoints.

If the turrists wanted to take away our freedom, I think they've already won, big time,

Funny, a few weeks ago I asked two guys at the gym who appeared to be doing Navy SEAL training wearing those weighted vests when they were set to detonate. They were not amused.
