So apparently Jamie Foxx wore a shirt to the MTV movie awards to bring awareness about the gun rules policy and how it affected the Newtown Conn. Kids and Trayvon Martin. The responses from people, I bet wasn't what he (Jamie Foxx) initially had hoped for.

Is a shame though we live in a world were IGNORANT people outweighs the SANE people......

Read the TWEETS and share your thought. we all dont have to agree but lets not make it about RACE!!

Just because years change it doesn't mean that people do.

There will always be remnants of racial and gender prejudices, even if it is thought that those fights for equality are over, sadly i think there will always be prejudices because humans naturally scrutinize their differences and some people will always take it too far.

The Right has done a successful job at portraying Martin as a "thug": that's their mantra now. They seldom mention his name without the adjective "thug" attached.

Except there's no evidence that he ever earned that term. It merely fits their narrative that the victim deserved to be killed regardless of his actions, by virtue of his having been a criminal thug. And which also dovetails nicely with the Right's belief that most young Black males are thugs.

It is just sad. I should have chosen psychology as a career, I just really wish to understand what the fuck goes through people's minds sometimes. I got a feeling that this behavior comes mainly from misinformation and lack of proper education.

The problem with the Trayvon Martin case is that this is not a good case for gun control. Trayvon Martin realized he was being followed and instead of running away he attacked George Zimmerman from behind. From what I understand It was not illegal to carry a gun and I can tell you if I was carring a gun for protection and someone attacked me from behind, I would shoot first and ask questions later.

I agree, racial prejudice and bigotry will live among us no matter what year or century it is. It is a disgusting social problem.

when people are bored, they think of stupid things to worry about to make it seem like they're doing something such as being sexist and racist and homophobic and islamaphobic and all these other forms of prejudice. it's ridiculous.

come on, hating on someone because of the color of their skin?
