I'm currently designing a house in a 3-D CAD program for a book cover design. This is raw, unshaded work-in-progress.

    Do you recognize this house?

    YEP!

Still working on the details. I have no idea what color the duplex is on the left. The only shots I can find are grainy stills from the show's credits, and one taken probably a bit later, like the 80s, plus what it looks like today.

    From credits:

From the 80s (the tree on the left has grown):

When you think of the Bunker house, for those who remember, do you think of it as just one color?

So did the Jeffersons live in the duplex next to them? You know before they moved on up...

I don't guess I ever realized it was a duplex. Interesting.

Was it because it all appeared to be one color (brown) in the grainy, shadowy opening shot? It looks like the left side was some kind of mustard color back then.

Getting closer. Even though the left side is a different color, most people I'm guessing remember it as all brown. Just have to add trees and bushes and stuff.

Did you notice the discrepancies between the exterior shots and the interior set. The exterior shots show a window to the right of the front door. In the show there is no window, just a wall and closet. As well there are a few times when Archie is out on the front porch in front of the window to the left of the front door. That isn't in the exterior photo's either.

I know you so well. I knew who authored the thread AND which house it was just from the topic title. Only opened to confirm.

I noticed that the interior set had a front porch and the exterior just a stoop when I was nine. Didn't everyone?

    That's what I was thinking!
