    Well?

Have you ever stopped to realize that your name is one of the most unique, influential and powerful things you will ever possess in your life? Do you like your name? Is it weird or unusual? Would you change it?

I have a unique name. Since I have to wear a name tag at work, I hear about it almost EVERYDAY. I like it though. icon_biggrin.gif

My name is Rion, sounds like *ree-yon*

I like it (Jimmie). I'm named after my dad, who was named by "some crazy old lady down the street back in North Carolina."

The only thing I don't like is that it's really a nickname instead of a name. icon_neutral.gif

My name is Tristan. I used to hate it when I was a kid because it was a rare name and there is the word "sad" in French in it, and all the other kids would make jokes about it. But these years it became a quite popular name and now most people tell me it's a very beautiful name. I guess i am thankful to my parents for not naming me Nicolas or Julien like all the other kids.

Erik is not my real name. While my real name is not weird, it's not a common name in the general population. My name is more nerdy sounding.

Uhh yeah I'd definitely change my first and middle name.
It makes me sound like an 80 year old english man and even to this day I'm not really fond of it.
Yeah yeah I know, me not liking something about myself. Old news!

So you're all going to talk about your names and not even tell us what it is? My name is Anthony, and while I like it because its classic, I don't think it flows well.

I hate my name because its religious and I had my last name because its devoid of any representation of the culture my ancestors came from. My first name is Isaiah and my last name was a character on Castaway.

I've always liked my first name Rian, its the Gaelic spelling of Ryan and means king. Though I never understood why my mother gave my five names, all from the bible.

Would any of you who dislike your name change your name?
What would you change it to?

My name is Patrick, I disliked it when I was younger, so I shortened it to "Pat". As I am growing into my middle years I am now feeling more "Patrick", than "Pat", maybe I am embracing who I am.

So yes after 42 years, I like my name.

I hate my name. lol. As much as its cool having a unique name it brings hastles when meeting people. Also having a middle name (my fathers name) which ryhmes with my first name kinda makes it a joke. Name being : Rüdel Friedel Voigts. My surname I really like though. Has a feel of authority to it.

I wouldn't go and change my name but I like the names Liam, Derrick and Skylar a lot more than mine. haha. Although in all honesty a unique, difficult and utterly weird name as I have suites me better.

My name is Affen , and yes it is very uncommon name .On my mum side of the family , her parents and grand-parents were Affenpinschers breeders , they really had a love for that dog breed . I was the first born and they all decided to name me Affen , they wanted something unusual ....
My grand parents and my mum have passed since , but my dad , my brother and I are still enjoying being around ours . icon_biggrin.gif

I'm cool with it, probably one of the most low profile names out there, the least common name, only selected cast has it and I love it that way.
