Wall of Shame: Unprovoked Attacks from Anonymous People

I always seem to get the random, unprovoked messages from people. Although I think a Tumblr Wall of Shame that shows screenshots of their faces and messages to shame them into behaving like proper, mentally-helathy adults, I also think just sharing these experiences may be equally cathartic.

Here's the message I got today, which I'm not sure if it is insulting or not. But, still, it's rather twatty with the backhanded compliment:

From a 21 year old on another site: "You're only a little younger than my father but you are so hot."

From a 25 year old on another site: "Hello. Hi. What's up? I read your profile. It was interesting..."
Hi there! What was interesting about it?
"I dunno... you sound a little bit conceited."
If you didn't like me, why did you send three messages trying to engage in conversation? Please don't contact me again if you're not going to be nice.
"You sound like a 12 year old girl. You're such drama."
You sound like a misogynist. Please respect my wishes and don't contact me again. I'm not engaging anymore.

Wow, you do get some interesting characters!

The one from the 21 year old reminded me a lot of a message I got on OKCupid last year. The guy was 19 and had messaged me saying that he thought I was cute. I thanked him, but replied that he was a bit out of my age range. He responded by saying "Oh, that's okay, I have a daddy fetish, old guys are hot." Old??!! What' do you mean, old?! I'm 36, I'm not old!! icon_biggrin.gif The funny thing is that he was persistent and kept messaging me after that, even after I stopped responding.

    Hang in there man! icon_smile.gif

Omg that is hilarious actually! 36 is a daddy fetish?! Sheesh! I still don't get the "old at 35..." Although someone very compassionately told me that my wrinkles on my eyes says I'm well into his 40s while he, 100lbs heavier and 1 year younger, had less wrinkles than me and therefore looked younger. And informed me that my profile should reflect my physical (not actual) age. I didn't have the heart to tell him that I, too, could have my ass fat fill in my wrinkles if I were 100lbs heavier. That would have been twatty haha
